I am like many of you when looking at Zend Framework and wonder how I could use the normal URL with Zend Framework and it is very confusing to try to figure out at first by there is a way.

The following article will show you two ways to enable none-pretty URL with Zend Framework.

Method one: Use REST route

* Use using Rest Route (The easiest way)
* Add these lines in Bootstrap.php

$front = Zend_Controller_Front::getInstance();
$router = $front->getRouter();
$router->addRoute('default', new Zend_Rest_Route($front)); // replace default route with rest route

Method two: Use Rob Allen RequestVars class (see below for modified version to work with Zend Framework 1.11.11)

* Use using Rob Allen RequestVars class and do the following:
* Put RequestVars.php in the folder library/App/Controller/Router/Route
* Add these lines in Bootstrap.php
